My scheduled review for the theatrical release of "My Best Friend's Girl" was canceled due to a nasty cold that yours truly picked up. I did see the film, however, so here's a quick capsule for the website:
A light smattering of funny moments can't save this misogynistic, feel-bad romantic comedy starring Dane Cook and Kate Hudson. Unpleasant characters doing unsavory and/or idiotic and/or baffling things for an hour and a half doesn't sound like a good time to me, and it isn't. The best scene is set at a sacreligious pizza joint called Cheesus Crust. It's downhill from there.
